Frederick J. Sitzberger, CPA, CVA

  • Certified Public Accountant, 1981
  • Certified Valuation Analyst, 1996
  • Member, Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants
  • Member, National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts

Fred Sitzberger was born and raised on the Southwest side of Milwaukee. He came from a family of eleven including two sets of twins, which he was part of. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he graduated from UW-Milwaukee with his accounting degree in 1978. While at UW-Milwaukee he was elected UW-Milwaukee Business School senator. Fred began his career with the accounting firm of Ernst & Young where he was a manager. He was CFO for another five-and-a-half years in the financial industry.

Fred reentered Public Accounting in 1990 and currently is a shareholder with Sitzberger Widmann & Company. He became active in the community by being on the Waukesha Chamber of Commerce business council in 1990. After realizing the quality of the individuals committed to the community, he became a Sunday school teacher and greeter at his church.

Fred became president of the Elmbrook Rotary in 2000, joined the Brookfield Chamber in 1993 and became the president in 1999, joined the Board of Directors of the four-facility Hebron House for the Homeless as the Treasurer in 1996, then as Board president. Fred is also a past chairperson of the Waukesha Practitioners Group and has held several officer positions with the southeastern chapter of the WICPA.

Fred says that community involvement is essential to developing an outlook that benefits all aspects of one's life, including financial and business. "Being involved in helping others in our community is like mining a vein of gold, providing a wealth of satisfaction, sense of well being, and having friendships with individuals who are honest with high integrity," he said.

To Fred's surprise, he is the father of twin girls, Jennifer and Kara. As it turns out, twins do not skip a generation!
